Safety features include 3 mm Plexiglass door window and factory sanded wood surfaces, as well as the 15/16" 'safe fingers' space around the door, as required in the EU. The wall boards are 3/4" thick chemical-free solid Tongue and Groove wood. Not OSB or particle board which warp and break if exposed to weather.
Do it yourself directions come with the kit in the form of numbered drawings and a parts list. Only minimal tools are needed and this makes a great family project. Even if you have never built any wooden structures, you should be able to complete this small playhouse and your child/children will be thrilled !
